well about 2 and a half days ago my cat come in about 10 for his dinner as usual he seemed fine but didnt eat all his dinner (i think he only had a couple of mouth fulls)well since then all hes done is sit and sleep on the sofa and do nothing and it is very unlike him as hes always out and hardly ever comes in.i just put him out for 10 mins but he was having non of it and come straight back in.ive checked him all over and theres no phyisical signs of illness but hes very floppsy if u know wat i mean.hes only 2 and had all his vaccinations and is fully up to date.if any body can point me in the right direction to wat it might be i would appreciate it.i know i should contact a vet if im rearly worried but i wanted some one elses view first before my mom forks out loads on a vet bill. :D

I would, in your situation, see a vet
not eating and lethargy could be a digestial
tract problem, or any number of other things.
better to be safe than sorry.

ye thats wat my mom said, were going to take him to the vets on saturday as my moms at work tomorrow wen the vets is open.unless he gets rearly bad then it will have to be tomorrow.hes still on the sofa asleep.il update wen hes been to the vets, lets just hope its nothing serious. :)

nope no vomit at all just his not acting his self and sleeping an alful lot,and not eating a lot either.

he couldve had a fight with another cat and the slightest little nick could have set off an infection.
hope hes ok though, poor thing

I will keep my fins and fingers crossed for your cat

Please keep us updated

EDIT: I meant to say. Check his claws to see if they are shredded. When my cat got hit by a car a while back the only way the vet really knew was that the claws were shredded. Apparently when cats get hit they try and grip onto the surface of the road and it shreds their claws up. He may be in shock from being hit hence will not have any major reactions to you touching him, even if he is in pain.

Is his stool ok? Does he get dewormed? I would check the claws to see if they are in tact. Is he neutered? Eitherway, getting him to the vet would be your best bet. Hope he's ok

sorry about not replying to the posts.well we were wondering the night befor we were going to take him to the vets to wat it could be ( wether he had drank something from the drain etc)and we finally come down to this 1 rearly wierd thing. we started seeing this ferel male cat hanging around for about 6 months opening bin bags and just being a general nusance.minton my cat was always with him though, sleeping together, sharing his food with him and some other things.we found this rarther odd as there both males but minton has been nutered.well wat we noticed was wen minton became ill and acting strange non of us had seen this cat.i knocked on a few doors around my house to see if any body new wat had happend to the cat and one man who keeps pigions said he had shot it because it had been killing some of his birds.minton seems fine now thankfully, but wat a strnge thing though.i feel a bit sorry for the cat but it was looking ill and skinny wen i last seen it so i surpose it was better off dieing now than it having a slow death starving.i would of happily taken it in if i could of caught it but it was just so scared of humans.any way thx for some of the advice to wat cudof been and thx for the tip about the claws shedding wen a cats been hit by a car i didnt know that. :D
