This morning when I went to feed my 2 month old betta fry (They are still quite small and I know what I did wrong) I noticed that a couple of them have clamped fins. I don't know what is causing this. I thought I saw something on one of them, on it's caudal fin, so I treated the tank with Ick cure and JFE. What do you all think is wrong with my fry? Thanks.

Clamped fins are a sign of stress, so need water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, don't medicate till you no what wrong you will just be causing more stress on them what does it look like on the fins, any flicking and rubbing on objects, or heavy laboured breathing.

To me it looked like Ick, however I am not positive. All the tests are where they should be, aside from the nitrite, I don't have a test for it. Do you think it is possible that they miss their other siblings? I moved them from their 20gal this past week to a 10gal since they are the largest of the fry.

Whitespot or ick looks like they have been sprinkled in salt, so salt like grains on the fish.

Right, did you preform a water change before you added the med.

I have had bettas with Ick before and I know what it looks like, but there was only one spot and it was on it's tail.

When in doubt change a little more water. If you are already changing a lot of water then please disregard....

I took about a gallon out of the tank to get left over food from the bottom of the tank. (That was after I noticed them having clamped fins.)

Thanks for the link. From that I would have to say it is probably from the stress of being moved away from their buddies. Thanks for the help. :D
