I Think My Pistol Shrimp Needs A New Mate.

My yellow watchmen goby was never an in yourface fish, I saw him rarely but when the tank was fed he would make an apperance.
Since moving to the larger tank he stopped coming out at all and I feared him, his shrimp and my 2 peppermints dead, today the 2 peppermints decided to show themselves and so did my pistol shrimp, this leaves me wondering if the goby died and the shrimp have been eating his corpse (would explain why they didn't come our before)

What do we think, should I get him a new mate or wait to see if the goby appears (it's been a month since I saw him last)

Its heard to say. I have had fish that have gone missing for weeks and then suddenly appeared from nowhere again. We sometimes go for days before seeing our green coral goby as well.

However I would say if its been a month its probably died though

Just a quick note on the peppermint shrimp. Don't expect to ever see them. I had 3 and would only ever catch an odd glimpse when they where fed. They really are quite she and will spend most of the time inside the rockwork when the lights are on.
