Today, i tryed cleaning Tiger's tank, i scooped him up with a fish net and of course, he flopped. I put if in another tank thingy....and he was floating like he was dead... then i put him in the sink(with WATER) and he was like dead. I immedietly threw(i'm exaggerating) him back in his tank.he was floating on his side....it was scary, but he's alive. does anyone know if anything is wrong with him?! PLEASE HELP!!! :-(

I had the same thing happen with my last betta. He soon came down with swim bladder disease. I don't mean to be pesimistic, as it could be totally different with your fish and he might have just been stressed.

Maybe you could add some aquarium salt to his water to help him out, I hear bettas like that alot.

Has he been refusing his food? Maybe he's a little constipated and could use a couple days of no food.

Was the net contaminated? What do you mean he flopped?

nope, eating....he's not swimming to one side or sumthin....yeah. after that...he was laying on the bottom of the tank...i think he's fine now. i see poop  but o well, good sign(?)

I'm just scraed about trying to clean his tank again. Where do you get aquarium slat? is there a specific kind?if so, what(which is better for bettas)

since he's not on his side anymore, you may just have an easily stressed betta. i had one that every time i'd clean, he'd flop on his side and let himself sink onto a plant before i'd barely even begun to clean. then he'd go sit on teh bottom after i was a done for a bit, and then be back to normal. scared the crap out of me the first time. not sure why he did it, but was always fine not long after. i just chalked it up to strange fishy behavior.......................
