My tank -
8 corys (4 albino, 4 emeralds.) 1 sunset honey gourami, 6 danios. plants and 2 caves.

Well Wednesday I added a sunset honey gourami, 6 danios, and 2 more albino corys (I only had 2 before that, and I got them 2 more buddies)

It was rainy that day.
I did do a water change after adding the fish.

Turns out that's PERFECT SPAWNING weather. 0.o

And now one of my emerald corydoras.. her tummy is getting bigger...

I have a 2.5 gal set up (no fish in it), and I have a 10 gallon I'm setting up (was going to be used to house 5 dwarf frogs and to grow plants).

I don't know what to do... I mean... I'm not that great with babies (I had guppies and the kids got eaten...)I still have some small fry food... But corys need baby brine shrimp and stuff... And I'm scared... and I need expert help..?

Cories lay eggs, her tummy getting bigger means she is getting full of eggs, which would have happened anyway, the water chnage just sped it up.

She will lay eggs either on the glass or on leaves of plants, if you dont want them, either take them out or just leave them there, they will hatch but will probably get eaten, you might get one or two growing up, if that.

they also dont need BBS, its just the preferred fry food. I fed mine on hikari first bites.

it'd be pretty cool to raise cory fry...
And yeah I have almost no idea...
But she gets a sinking wafer every night, and any left over flakes from the danios and gourami... (The danios are messy eaters and the gourami does not understand why the filter eats the sinking food)so just getting fatter, shes more triangular shape if that helps

Is she getting a lump just behind her head on the underside of her belly? Sort of where the throat would be?

you mean is she getting fatter on the underside of her tummy and its sticking out some?

yes. She's also getting more skittish... Which I'm not sure why, I mean she didn't come up to my hand or nothing but when I approached the tank, she didn't run away...

Yeah thats pretty much it.

I've never noticed skittishness with my cories when they were laying but i dont know, maybe theyre all different :)

She's probably got eggs, and she might lay them in a couple of days if you do another w/c with cooler water
