There was a programme on last night that ebay is letting people sell counter fit goods, though ebay trying to sort it out but not good enough.

It is hard for Ebay to review every single auction..but they DO ! I had a purse on there that I listed as a "copy" and they removed it. Also, they removed one I had because I put HOT TOPIC (store) in the title and it wasn't the brand name ...just where it was bought. If you do not buy purses, sunglasses, etc. popular fake items you are safe. If you pay with Paypal you are covered. I have saved thousands of dollars on there. I got 32 fake plants for my tanks on there today for $20 including shipping.

Just dosn't appeal to me its so annoying when searching it always fetches ebay up.

To be honest whats wrong with counterfit goods, there is always going to be market for designer clothing dvds cds and whatever else they can counterfit because there will always be people out their willing to buy them and can afford them because there is people who refuse to buy counterfits and want the original i personally would never wear counterfit clothing as i like the originals too much but others who are less fortunate would wear them with pride and fit in with moden society because they have them.

A trip to the cinema costs in excess of £40 for a 3 person family to watch a single movie, how many familys do you know who are on benefits can afford this there is probably none, counter fit dvds and cds allow these unfortunate children and parents see all the things their well of mates are seeing and expereincing.

So whilst people are out their drumming it in that counterfitters are bad and are criminals they are actually supplying the less fortunate with means to a better life and more enjoyable.

The designers movie makers etc are always going to be filthy rich all your doing is giving them hand to get even more filthy rich, and by taking counterfitters away you making the rich even richer.

You could also look at it from this point of view aswell people like myself and many other members breed fish and sell them on, we are crushing small buisness who have had pet shops for years making a living from selling fish are we any better than the counterfitters as we have the exact same effect on the fish trade as counterfitters have on other trades.

I don't buy counter fit goods the money they make goes into all sorts of nasty things.
I would rather buy a genuine dvd then save a few pounds.
Some are even selling condom and toothpaste which have nasty cheimical in them, god knows what the counter fits condoms are made of.
Anyway had my rant lol.

I realize we are all in different countries here so I do not know how this applies to all, but it is obvious why the rulers do not like Ebay as it is not lining their pockets. Small family businesses are being shut out and that evil greedy monster is showing his head and taking over. Quite honestly I would rather buy from the family owned LFS or the individual on Ebay than a place like Wal-Mart !

Personally I do not care for "designer" items. I just buy what fits and looks good and at a good price. Victoria's Secret stuff is crap. You are paying for their models when you buy from them. People need to wake up !

I've been eBaying for years. Love it! Always some great deal and whatnot. Sometimes I'll log on and just window-shop. Great gift ideas on there, too! I've bought and sold. If it were not for eBay I'd be out a few hundred dollars due to buying the wrong vid card for my computer. (Long story, I'll spare you the details.) Long story short; I could not return what I bought, so I turned to ebay and was able to sell it for the same amount as I paid to a local guy who even picked it up at my house and paid cash. What a lifesaver!

I also used to play a certain online game and I'd sell items I'd find in-game on ebay for RL cash, then deliver the items to the players in the game. At first I did it as an experiment, then I got more serious and made over $500 in a couple months. Not too bad for a hobby. hehe Then the game got word people were doing that and made a policy against it, so I stopped. I didn't want to get my account banned. But it was fun while it lasted.
