I saw the coolest thing yesterday

The other day I was sitting back relaxing and watching the fish swimming around the tank then I saw my fish be cleaned by my cleaner shrimp. he just climbed on his back it looked like and cleaned him and then hopped of and went back to chilling on the rock. Just thought I would share that.

I couldn't believe it when I saw my skunk cleaner shrimp grabbed my yellow watchman goby and spun him around a couple times, pulled his "lungs" way out of his gills cleaned it then proceeded to retreat back to his normal cleaning post. It is incredible the trust that the fish have for cleaners!

yea also I have a yellow tang who will stay by my cleaner shrimp but he won't clean him so I don't know if he isn't dirty or is he just refusing to clean him but its cool to watch.

Skunk cleaners and blood shrimp are notorious for doing this and, actually, are good addtions to marine tanks if your fish have parasites. The shrimp will actually set up 'cleaning stations' and will pick off parasites on the outside of the fish. SH

the fish at my lfs do this, the cleaner kind of calls the fish over, they sit still, and the cleaner cleans them, in both their 180 reef and their 75 reef. very cool to watch
