If anyone is near Sidcup (which I'm not but I still make the trip) pop into Abacus Aquatics...by no means the biggest shop around but his tanks are always spotless and his fish always healthy and big..no little piddly things stuck in tanks with fish chasing them around like some other shops I wont mention...he always has a few interesting unusual fish too...today I treated myself to 10 albino glowlights which I had never seen before..he is a lovely helpful fella, and he is about the fish not just the money as he has refused to sell me some Cory's before as they came in not looking their best and were a little small, he wanted to feed em up to good health first. I was a bit hacked off I didnt get them but I was happy he had the fish's interest at heart..so do pop in there if your nearby!

 He's a good guy  Always willing to help

I got a few fish from there, just found it a bit expensive compared with my local Maidenhead Aquatics. So haven't really been there recently... -_-

Live 5 mins from Halfway street, never new it was there. Will give him a call :good:

Searched this shop on the forum to see what people had said and can only back up what other have said, nice clean shop, always willing to give free advice and I have also been in there when he has refused to sell certain fish if he feels conditions aren't right. Has some really strange fish and rare ones to. Would advise anyone near to pop in and see what they think. In relation to pricing I'm sure an lfs would have problems out pricing a big chain like maidenhead aquatics but at least when I walk in I know I am getting a healthy looked after fish with a friendly service at the same time, not trying to say maidenhead are terrible just saying I'm happy to spend that couple of quid more at my lfs.
