I need professional help

I went to my lfs today ONLY for RO water and brine for the eel, and a friend of mine who works there mentioned that they'd got some crowntails in ,at first I said "ehhh, I don't even want to see them" but sheeesh,somehow I ended up over there and fell in love with this male. THEN she tells me they have some females too, so she takes me over to the tank and the females were badly nipped by the barbs they were with. I told her to get them out of there asap, and then I noticed this little orange female with no back tail,it was nipped to a nub so I told her to bag her up and thankfully the manager just gave her to me,soooo two new bettas in one day
The female looks like she could be my high dollar orange plakat females twin (except for the nipped tail of course,and the lack of solid color),she's very cute, I can see a hint of green on her finnage

The male is a silverish blue and very pretty, I'll post pics in a bit

I, OTOH, went to the lfs and managed not to get another betta. ......................I just got another tank!

Now, please let me know when you find yourself getting out of bed on a Sunday night to go to Walmart for the sole purpose of seeing if they have any new female bettas.

They are such beautiful fish that it's easy to see why people go nutsy over them.

If they were all the same it would be different, but each little guy is an individual with different colors and his own unique personality. :smb: This is so unusual among the fishes.

You know something Wuv....I only have the one crowntail but ever since I bought him I now find myself looking a Bettas everywhere I go...there are so many pretty ones....so far I've been able to resist...mainly because I have no extra tanks but it's getting soooooooooooooooooo hard

LOL Fan, I hear ya ,my biggest downfall is....I have so many extra containers that hold about a liter of water, so I get a betta knowing he has a temporary home until I can get him a 2 gallon or so....after that betta is housed I have an empty container(s) again and so on and so on

But honestly, I'm done! I don't need anymore (notice I didn't say "I don't WANT anymore" ,I just don't need them) But if one NEEDS me....you better believe I'm taking it home!
