a glass cutter some glass some aquarium sealant a fair ol bit of time and planning but its not normally the glass that costs the money.

You can do as I did as a young lad, get the lawnmower a tank of gas and jump on the bike.....go around to houses that need mowing and you will surprised how many takers you get......alot of them will have you do it all summer. My kid brother followed in my shoes after I got older and he was knocing down 200.00 to 300.00 a week and we are talking back in the early 80's

thanks but my dad wont ever let me get out of the house. He's afraid I'll get kidnapped except to go to shopping with him. I don't get the newspaper.I can't get a job I'm to young, 11. So I pretty much can't get out of the house and i don't get allowance and i have to do chores even though i don't get paid for them. the only money i get is from my, parents, siblings, and grandparents for my birthday, $30. Anybody got anymore ideas considering my situation. thanks you for any help.

Patience Grasshopper. Start small. Become well accomplished so when you are older and wiser, your bigger tank will be a pleasure and not a nightamre of costly mistakes.

Get your Mom to take you garage saling. Have your own with things you find less important than fish tank. Find some old unused stuff around the house to clean up and sell at it,..WITH PERMISSION!!

Offer to do extra chores around the house, not only might it get you some more money from the folks, but will also help them see that you are becoming more responsible and may give you more freedom to get out and about

Get a job or have a look around in the newspaper u can find seconds hand tanks for very cheap i got a second hand tank 150 litre for €40 with a hood , light, and pump all that was worng was a scratch on the glass not bad!!

I would second everyone that says check the paper. I don't let a weekend go by that i don't check the classifieds. Cause everyonce in awhile u find that person who's just trying to get rid of a tank and just wants SOMETHING for it. Also why not buy a smaller tank and invest in a pair of profitable fish. Then you can pretty much get all your fish stuff for free through credit. I pretty much never spend earned money on fish, i spend the money my fish basically give me, through breeding and me selling their fry to stores, on fish. Why not get a wild or F1 pair of Tanganyikan shelldwellers? A pair could be housed in a 10gal which isn't too expensive, they are very easy to breed, and there is allways a demand for high quality africans(well around here), and not to mention how entertaining these little fish can be. I got 100 cash for 1 brood of my f2 signatus fry and it only took them like 2months to achieve a sellable size. Just something to think about. But then again i am a Tanganyika addict,lol
