I am planning on breeding bettas and I have done TONS of research and still cramming all the info I can and was wondering if anyone has any nice females? I live in the U.S. . And they won't be being bred for awhile so if they are young that's ok I will beef em up for a few months. I got a few nice males but I am looking for a copper if anyone can help me on that.

If anyone can provide links to good websites to buy bettas that'd be excellent. Thanks

you can try asking your LFS or LPS if they can order one for you. I've done that before and they ordered the fish i want for me.

Aquabid usually has a female or two. You could look there, and if you don't find one you like already up for auction, find an auction for a male that is the colour you want and email the breeder to ask if they have any of his sisters available

I like the coppers I might try one from thailand. If they are brother and sister wouldn't that be inbreeding and have deformed babies?

Inbreeding doesn't cause deformed babies, unless done over enough generations without outcross.

And, if you breed siblings, you generally know what you're going to get for fry.

I was assuming you were getting the copper female to breed with one of the males you already have... but no, inbreeding doesn't have as much of an ill effect on fish as it does on some other types of animals. Like Kiarra said, you'd probably be perfectly fine breeding siblings together as long as you don't keep it up generation after generation without any outcrossing :)
