this one is for sale in bedfordshire. build a plywood 10x4x4 and you shoud be ok.




this summer i am hoping to go for one of those tanks. done all the reserch. playwood, carbon fiber, 20mm glass. may go for acrlic, 4x2x4 sump, metal halides. similar setup to what i have now with lots of roots and plants and similar stock aswell... budget is £2500k. building time 2 weeks. gos in the living room. my wife dont know yet.


i started keeping fish in jam jars when i was 6,7. i must have monster tank now... big time.

yeah ive read that thread , altho even as big as that tank is it would be a mere grow-out tank for 1 of these boys .

I must say that fish would not be for me. I think the only appeal is that it is silly big. Not the best looking thing i have ever seen. I'll stick with my barbs...

Wasn't there reports of this fish eating people in a River in Pakistan/India?

it is reported to occasionally attack humans , but i doubt it could eat 1

lets face it if you can afford the kind of accomodation etc that a fish this size needs then feeding it isnrt really going to be a problem .

I watched a river monsters about it and what they think happened was the fish jumped out the water and knocked the man of his boat and unconscious so he drowned. Because they jump when scared and have a rock solid head i think its happened to a few people.
