I had tropical fish for a couple of years now. My friend gave me a tank ABOUT 10 G AND wanted to try something new. I decided to get goldfish. Not the common ones but the fancy one. After setting up the tank and cycled it, i went to my LFS and had a look at the fancies. I decided to get a couple of small redcap orandas. The smaller RC Oranda is currently at 1 inch long (not including the tail) and the larger RC is at 1 1/2 inches.
I know i don't have a large enough tank to house this fish the rest of their lives and i will be getting a larger tank in a couple of months. I just wanted to know what size my 2 RC Orandas will grow to until it is evident that i will need a larger tank to house them?

-_- They get around 10 inches each.

You will need at least 30 gallon for those 2. You won't be able to keep the for too long in there, since you can stop them from growing(i think they call it stun  ), but i heard that the organs will keep on growing and that will lead to RIP.

Regardless of their current size, you should get them a 30 gallon minnimum right away. If you want more, you'll want an extra 10 gallons for each additional fish - so 30 gallons for the 2 but 40 gallons for 3, 50 gallons for 4 etc. They should be given a new tank ASAP as they produce huge amounts of waste and also need room to swim. They will also grow a lot quicker if kept in a larger volume and will be a lot healthier.
