hello, its me AGAIN , with even more questions ....

my tank is a 40 gal , currently i have 6 bumble bee gobys in there and 2 horned nerite snails , they have been in there for 4 weeks since i completed a fish less cycle , nothing has died and there is no algae growth , i do a 40 % water change every week .

my plan was to add 2 f8 puffers , but im worried that when i do they will eat the snails , that is why i put the snails in 4 weeks ago along with the gobies , well i think they are settled in now and they live for 90 % of the time on my backing, its a fake rock wall type backing , there are some plants in the tank too, and plenty of hiding places for the gobies , im waiting to see just how well, or bad the plants do , ive used clay fertiliser balls , the jave fern i have had in there for 3 weeks and its starting to shoot roots into the water and onto the rocks , hopefully the plants will do ok, i have good t5 lighting rated at 36 watts per bulb x2 .

well my question is if i add the f8`s and make sure they are fed well, am i likely to say goodbye to my nerites ?

i have the money to go and but the f8`s right now , im just too worried about the snails , and yes i know they are only 2 little snails , but they serve a purpose in my tank , im yet to increase the salinity , and thats why ive add the plants now, so they have time to get a grip in the tank.

can anyone please advise me , sorry if my posting style is a little out there ? im just trying to paint the best picture i can , of my tank.

thanks very much for looking.

Puffers love to eat snails. So, if you want to keep the snails, don't add the puffers.

puffers been a week now and they only ate one snail, so far the other lives on ! what a REBEL , lol
