I Just Bought A New L018!

I saw him in the shop and had to get him!

He's really cute




He's acclimatised and is now hiding somewhere amongst my rocks.
I'm a little concerned for him.

Does anyone else own a L018?
Are they often hiding? as I think he's beautiful to look at! (if I could only see him )

all plecs tend to hide at first but make sure he feeds as they are difficult to get feeding. I bought one the other month and he just wouldn't feed despite not having similar problem with all my other plecs

Well he's having a good munch at the algea on the back wall of my aquarium now (behind one of my internal filters).
So I hope this is a sign that he will feed


I have some Pleco Wafers which I will be leaving in the tank overnight, I hope he will come down off the glass and have a munch some time

if you haven't got some already I would get frozenbloodworm or brine shrimp. my plecs love these and courgettes go down a storm

I have had my golden nugget for a couple months now and at first if was anywhere near the tank he would hide for an hour after, i would have to watch tv and not move. He is pretty active now, but if there is commotion in the room he hides unless i have zuchinni for him then he could careless what is going on. I have gotten use to putting some zuchinni in the early evening and it almost automatically bring him out w/in a few minutes. a large piece of wood will help the cause as well. if you ever get yours to suck on the wall let me know, i have only seen this happen once in 3 months! mine is moving into his large home this week too!
