I have 6 Bettas now spread out all over my desk. Well 4 of them are and 3 ADF's but I've got the solution. I lucked out and found a 10 galllon tank with everything but a heater at a flea market for $10 and cut some extra plexiglass we have to length and now have five 2 gallon partitions for 4 of the Bettas and the 3 ADF's. One of the Bettas, Firebolt, is my girlfriend's and he's only here on weekends when not at work with her.

The other one, my newest female I got her tonight after deciding not to get anymore fish for a while several weeks back. But she's unusual for this area; nearly black, a very, very dark blue with hints of red and fiesty as any of my other Bettas, including the males. She has been flaring at her own reflection.

So now I'm up to 6 of them, and once I have them all set up in their 10 gallon, I'm going to have to resist buying more to fill up the freed containers. Darned fish are addictive and unlike most other fish, they don't need a filter or complex set up making it harder to resist. :(

AMEN! I feel you hun, i really do. Haha, i'm surprised they haven't come out my behind! Well i know your symptoms! MTS (multiple tank syndrome) and MBS (multiple betta syndrome) good luck with it, sorry to say there isn't much of a cure.

I've always liked them and that was before I started finding Crowntails, Doubletails and other breeds for sale around here for the price of normal VT's. I used to just have one and only one Betta, but then one day PetCo by some freak of accident, they had a Crowntail and I caved in to get a second one, already having one male. When the first one died, I replaced him and ended up with two females within two weeks. It just goes downhill from there. I've had one Betta or more for a year and a half now.

I want to breed them but there's just no room for a grow out tank just yet let alone for 50 or 100 jars to keep them all in, though I could clean up my desk some....

One day I went to Wal Mart to just get a 1 gal bowl to use as a hospital. Well, to make a long story short, I ended up coming home with 5 females, 1 male, a 10 gal tank, a 1.5 gal, and the hospital bowl that I originally went for. Now I have 10 bettas and 3 AFD's. Just wait, soon you will have no flat surfaces left anywhere in your house. I think somebody on the forum even has one on the back of his/her toilet! Why we couldn't have fallen in love with a fish that can be kept with others of their own, I will never know. *sigh*
