I have my Fish

I got him today, I picked him because I went to see the fish 3 time and every time he was swimming around the tank and came to the front to see me, so I suppose he picked me really.
He is claret with blue tips to his fins - I think he knows we all support Aston Villa here.
He is really tame. Having spent a lot of thought and time covering up the mirror at the back of the tank, he managed to find a sliver in the bottom corner I had missed and was getting very excited. I put my hand in to move a rock in front of the corner and he didn't swim away he came to me. He also comes to the surface to see me when I lift the lid. He is gorgeous and I love him, just have to think of a suitable name now.

He is blowing bubbles in the corner now.

I am worried about him tho' because it is a new tank and I know I am going to have toxins until the filter starts to work properly. Should I be changing some of the water every day, or every other day? How much water? The tank is about 6.5 gallons.
He is such a funny little man I really don't want anything to happen to him.
