how would i get the volume of a hexagon tall tank?

Go onto PFK's website, they have calculators to work out allsorts!!

Find the area of your hexagon base first. (Area of a hexagon) = 1.5 * (square root of 3) * (length of one of the 6 sides in inches) ^2

Then take the area of the hexagon * (height of the tank in inches) = volume of the tank in cubic inches. To convert from cubic inches to gallons divide by 231.
