hey everyone!

im excited to say that i have a dwarf gourami and an albino cory.

i will add 3 more albino cory cats next week.

the bloke at the shop was sure that they were only going to stay small but im not so sure... im 99% sure they are the same as the cory's pictured http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/calli...ydora/51_14.php .

has anyone had any experience with these? I read about them being hardy fish who werent too fussy about water conditions except teperature, but how big do they get?

p.s my dwarf gourami is so pretty :D its a red sunset with shiny blue between the red, looks great!

one other thing... my cory is going nuts! swimming everywhere at 1000000 miles/hour, i changed the setup or my powerhead to get rid of the current but when it was set up blowing sideways he was swimming against the current like he was on steroids! he's still going nuts now and swimming around the top, bottom and middle of the tank - mostly at the top. there is enough oxygen in the water btw  i hope its a sign of a healthy fish

okay, will an albino cory be ok on its own? i read that they would get to 3 inches, dammit! i wish the bloke at the shop told me beforehand he told me they would only get marginally bigger :( i need some dwarf cory's

Im puzzled are you getting rid of the albino now or keeping him and getting three more? just re-read your other topic and now im unsure. :dunno:

Yes cories need to be in groups of three at least, im no role model as i have lots of different cories in groups of one and twos but they are all happy and mix together. i prefer to have strong current for my cories and they diffently appreciate it and need it. I dont know if you can have 1 dwarf gorumai and 3 albino's in a 28 litre tank(just under 10 gallons?)

Hi, from what I understand; you can have a total of 15inches of fish within a community per every 14.5 gallon tank. In reading you topic you have 3 corys at 3" per fish plus 1 Dwarf Gourami in a 28gallon tank. I my oppion there should be enough room for all the fish. Why are you considering seperating them? :dunno:
