I have reciently aquired some fiddler crabs for my 55g tank. Like I've been reading, people at the pet store don't seem to know what they're talking about. I've been researching them, and I am supposed to give them a little space to climb out of the water. I'm also supposed to add some salt to the water. I'm running a tropical freshwater community tank. I've also read that adding salt to the freshwater won't hurt anything if I don't add too much. Is this true? Because the tank is not really set up for a little bit of land, I was thinking of putting something under the water that they can climb into for dryness. Like a cave of some kind. Think that'll work? It'd be a shame to lose them, they work their asses off cleaning things up.
