I Have Babies And I Dunno Which One They Are

I have two platties and four mollies. I fed them yesterday and noticed that i had 2 babies!! i went and bought a net breeder to put them in and i now have 12 fish fry. Yet i am still wondering if the store had sold me a pregnant platy or a molly. I was told to feed them with the crush flakes but still unsure since this is my first time owning tropical fish!!! What should i do??

Platies and Mollies often come from the LFS pregnant. Just crushing up the flake food in to littler pieces is fine for them. I don't even crush mine up and my fry are doing just fine. I let them roam the tank free though so they are probably eating off the bottom as well. My tank is planted pretty well though so they have some good hiding spots. I also let nature takes its course so there are only 3 survivors at this point.

Frozen Baby Brine Shrimp (BBS) is also a firm favourite. What colours are your adult fish and what colour are your fry? This can sometimes help with ideentifying them. I have never had Molly fry but have had plenty of guppy, platty and swordtail fry, but then again i have always caught the mum in time.

Welcome to the forum LilGurlGreen.
Why not post up a clear picture of your fry? Molly fry do not look at all like platy fry to someone who has seen both. My own way of describing it to myself would be that the molly fry seem somehow blockier than platy fry. I have no idea of how to say that so that you will get the same mental picture that I have though.
