at first I was treating him for mouth rot I did that treatment for five days like the box said. he didnt show not one sign of improvement. But here is the funny thing he doesnt act a bit sick I have him in a gallon betta tank which is my hospital tank for all of my fish when they get sick I dont have any readings on the tank because I change the water everyday. It isnt a growth or it doesnt look like a fungus either it is right in the center of both his lips.It isnt ich I tell you what it really looks like. it is just like someone took a small paint brush and painted one streak down his lips. I have had him in betta fix and 3 drops of melafix which I think that stuff isnt much to start with. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before it could be a fungus but it sure dont look like one to me I wont have my camera for a few more days or I would send a picture of him in. does anyone have any ideals as to what could be wrong with him or mabey suggest something to treat him with.

I was looking on the net.... ;) HOwever i looked hard and all I found that could infect the mouth really was ick and fungus and possibly systs. Nonthing that met you description. A picture of the fish would really be greatful. are these marks anywere else on the fish. It could be part of a different disease that spread to the mouth.

no they is not one other mark on that fish he looks great he is active and eating I just cant understand what this could be on the little fellow. I noticed it about a week ago when he was getting his frozen brine shrimp when I first saw it it look like his lips was just about gone I kept him in triplesulfa for a week and then it looked like what I told you in the first thread. So the only thing else I knowed to do was add the betta fix and acouple of drops of melafix. I am going to try this with the web cam but that hospital tank is dingy looking.
