Hi all

I went out and picked up a new tank today, its a little 35l complete tank with T5 lighting, I was thinking of using it as a fragging tank and taking stuff from my bigger tank, this may be a stupid question but, is it just a case of taking water and a bit of LR from the big tank and away I go or not?

I have been on the forum a fair bit lately and have been looking at the smaller tanks and just had to have ago at one, so I am blaming you lot for making my front room look more like a lfs, especially Jenny, yep, its her fault :p

Anyway if anybody could give me a little advice as to set-up, that would be great.

hehe xD

looking cute that tank is ^^

i cant see why you cant take water and rock out your other tank and put it in there =]

Yep you can clone your old tank :good: would hopefully mean no cycle. it is exactly what I did with my big tank - took everything out of my nano and holding tank and transefered it to my big tank

LOL, it certainly is addictive. I too blame Jenny, every time I go to my LFS there is a Fluval Edge staring at me, calling my name

Interested to see what you come up with :good:

Thanks guys, job done :good: It does not look much at the moment but the frags I have in there are already doing great, better than in the other tank, the little powerhead the tank came with seems to provide a nice gentle flow all round the tank but it's loud, I might have to look into replacing that some day.

Should I put a fish in it, would that benefit the frags at all? at the moment I am just putting small amounts of coral food in.

Thanks
VM

You don't need a fish in there if you don't really want to. However if you would like a fish to provide some movement that'd be fine.

Have any pictures.

Mwahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I love being blamed for stuff like this :D

VM, is this a Betta Lifespace tank? I have one just the same...and it's empty...........*scratches chin thoughtfully*

Trod...you know you have to ;)

i vote u stick a blenny in there, you wouldnt see much of one in the big tank, but in there you wont regret it!

Have to agree with Ben, a Blenny would be a nice addition. If you could find a herbiverous one like mine, it would kill two birds with one stone and help with any algae plus add character and movement. Ooops that 3 birds!!
