Oh and to say something about this. A male betta doesn't only fight with males. A male betta in the wild will fight and kill anything in its water because there water is limited at times in the wild. Aka puddle. He will also fight a female it's just natural instincts sometimes overided a little when spawning though. Whoow reading this over and its really confuseing.Alisha said:Question number 2 : Could I keep a male and a female betta together? I don't want them to breed though...

It's always been different with my bettas. If they don't show intrest in it at first there ok with it. Those r the mellow ones the aggresive ones will go after it straight off the bat.Alix said:puting a guppy with a bettas is like putting a puppy with a tiger. the tiger may not eat the puppy right off the bat. an it my even ignore it for a week. but the puppy will be eaten in the long run(sry for the crude analigy its the only thing i could think of right off the bat to get them to get the picture)
