I hate multiple tank syndrome. I hate it so much. There’s the constant desire to have more aquariums, bigger aquariums. I currently have a 40 gallon, a 20 gallon, a 5 gallon, and a 2 gallon. Petco just started doing their 50% off sale and I’m buying a 5 gallon to replace the 2 gallon (it was the plan from the beginning). But then I start thinking “what if I bought a new stand and replaced the 20 gallon with another 40 gallon... but if I’m replacing it anyway, why not replace it with a 75, since I have the space if I moved that plant...”

Just wait. When you wake up in the morning and think that 150g would fit there! That is the time to move.

I cured my MTS....well sort of.

Had 5 smallish aquariums, no room for more.

Found a supplier of big aquariums that delivered to the room instead of the curb and now I have the one big one.....the 5 smallish ones have been rehomed.

No room for any more aquariums.....just shifted furniture to allow the one big one. Much better. Resisting the uge to get shifting more furniture to get another big aquarium......this is proving hard cos the ruddy Cories have been multiplying without permission since moving to the big aquarium...

"YAY!!!"

"More room!!!!"

"Lets get egg splattering!!!"

I cured my own mts. I got a house with an insulated garage and set up 50 plus tanks with water changing plans and central filtration. It's all the fun and very little work, and other than to replace some tanks I broke in my recent move (where I have another garage to work on!) I haven't wanted a new tank for years.

Why did you make this post! Now I want to buy another fishtank 🤣🤣

Half of me says "Practice contentment, enjoy what you have" the overpowering half of me says "but you could have more tanks which = more fish and more plants" but then my head is saying "You don't want to spend all your money on fish", and my mouth is saying "yes i do:nod:"

I think that my dream would be to have a 220 gallon Parana River biotope with Geophagus sveni, otos, bloodfin tetras, and peppered cories, a 75-125 gallon axolotl paludarium, a 20 gallon long betta paludarium, a 20 gallon long guppy tank, and 220 gallon species only discus tank. Thats only 5 tanks... 5 decently sized tanks

It isn't like I can't stop myself from buying more tanks, its just that I can't stop myself from wanting to buy more tanks

Lol. Before I actually read the post I assumed it was about Malaysian trumpet snails.
