I am new to saltwater tanks and have made some bad decisions. Strees, poor aclimation and so on. I discovered Ich in my tank about 4 days ago and since then I have lowered my salinity to .015 as well as treated the tank with coppersafe. I have been doing large water changes with properly treated tap water and have seemed to cure one of the fish.(puffer), I also have a Lion fish which is recovering and a Clown Trigger that is not looking well at all. After treatment (yesterday) the Trigger fish has turned white (covered in white dots and eyes fully clouded). He was bumping into things yesterday and today is sitting at the bottom of the tank hiding behind a rock he is loosing color in some spots. Is it true that Ich turns white when it dies? Is he on his way to recovery or is it just getting worse? The copper levels were about 2.0 and now I have reduced them to 1.0 through water changes (quality water) and Amqul copper remover. I am really worried about him. Any information on if Ich is clear when it is alive and white when it is dead.
