I saw two fry last night and one got ate last night. But I don't know which platy had them though. And could it be more? :dunno:

Yup. They're probably lodged in the gravel. The platy that gave birth will have white, stringy excreta for a few days and a semi-clamped dorsal fin. That and a nonexistent gravid spot'd clich it. :D

Who would have eaten the fry, by the way? Platies usually leave the fry alone for the most part...

If you want to save the fry, increase the amount of food you place in or add tubifex worms. This'll decrease the appetite for meat. :D

Hello,
Well actually the fry look almost like flakes. That's how small they are. But anyway would blood worms do the job.

They'd be full of protein and would constantly be there for the platies to munch on. They'd have to take to it, though, but I don't think that'll be a problem.

I've had a few fry myself, and you're right, they're tiny specks! You'll know they're dead if they're white, though.

If you want to save them, you might want to try using a siphon to pick at the gravel and suck them up. It might hurt them, so ask others b/f trying. :D
