A new pet store recently opened up here, and I like them a lot. I bought 2 veils there today. They are dolls

Here is Odysseus. When I bought him, he was completely opaque white with a baby pink hue to him. I think the pink is what would be referred to as a wash, but I'm not sure. He also had a few little blue spots on him, as you can see. After a few hours in his new home, I noticed his body has gotten pinker, and his fins are turning turquoise (the blue spots still standing out quite nicely), with a red butterfly effect. Also, his caudal fin appears to have streaks of yellow too. How colorful! I was thrilled seeing as how he was pretty much white when I got him. Oh, and he has the mosy beautiful crystal blue eyes :) I will have to try to get a pic of those someday.

Next is Kunta Kente. He is gorgeous. His head and upper body start out as a light milky brown, and fade into a slate blue with turquoise irridescence. His dorsal fin is completely turquoise with black leopard-like spots. His caudal and anal fins are translucent orange, outlined in navy blue. His caudal fin also has dark orange spots on it. I had never seen a betta like him, so I totally had to have him! When I picked him out, the lady said she had planned on buying him later, and that is why he was setting in the back. I felt bad, but that's tough - he is MINE! :p

Oh, and here is Rodchester, meeting Kunta for the first time.

Odysseus and Kunta are so tiny! Their bodies are barely an inch long!
I also noticed Odysseus' caudal and anal fins are grown together. The pic shows it clearly. I doubt it will effect anything, so I think it's neat.

nice fishies you've got there. I especially love the second boy. His coloring is so different! Your pics are very nice and clear also. Nice Job

wowy, those are some nice vt's the second photo really caught my eye, i like the green and brownish colors, you wouldn;t think that they'd look too good together but on a fish they are a beutiful fight.

Haha, thanks! I wish my pics were clear. The lighting in my room is terrible, and the lamp I have on the tanks does not help at all. Tomorrow I'm going to try taking them outside in the sunlight and see if that makes a difference. I heard it does.

Thanks guys!
I took the bettas outside today. Couldn't get any good ones of Odysseus, but I got a pretty good one of Kunta. I sharpened it up a bit on the computer, but those are his natural colors
