A new pet store recently opened up here, and I like them a lot. I bought 2 veils there today. They are dolls
Here is Odysseus. When I bought him, he was completely opaque white with a baby pink hue to him. I think the pink is what would be referred to as a wash, but I'm not sure. He also had a few little blue spots on him, as you can see. After a few hours in his new home, I noticed his body has gotten pinker, and his fins are turning turquoise (the blue spots still standing out quite nicely), with a red butterfly effect. Also, his caudal fin appears to have streaks of yellow too. How colorful! I was thrilled seeing as how he was pretty much white when I got him. Oh, and he has the mosy beautiful crystal blue eyes I will have to try to get a pic of those someday.
Next is Kunta Kente. He is gorgeous. His head and upper body start out as a light milky brown, and fade into a slate blue with turquoise irridescence. His dorsal fin is completely turquoise with black leopard-like spots. His caudal and anal fins are translucent orange, outlined in navy blue. His caudal fin also has dark orange spots on it. I had never seen a betta like him, so I totally had to have him! When I picked him out, the lady said she had planned on buying him later, and that is why he was setting in the back. I felt bad, but that's tough - he is MINE!
Oh, and here is Rodchester, meeting Kunta for the first time.
Odysseus and Kunta are so tiny! Their bodies are barely an inch long!
I also noticed Odysseus' caudal and anal fins are grown together. The pic shows it clearly. I doubt it will effect anything, so I think it's neat.
