Today, I went to the pet store and they had a bunch of tiny clown loaches! They were barely an inch long!! :hyper: So, I decided to get three of them . . . I know they get big, but I heard they grow slowly.

Anyway, I told the employee that I would like to get three clown loaches and she was having a hard time catching them. She was beginning to get frustrated. I asked several times, "Do you need any help?" She said, "No, I'm fine. These are just very hard fish to catch!" It took her 5 minutes to catch one clown loach! Finally, she handed me the net and I caught the remaining two in under 10 seconds!! The employee was very amazed and asked me, "What's your secret?" I said, "I keep a lot of fish and I know how to catch them."

So, that was my experience at the pet store today! The clown loaches are so cute! I'll try to get some pics of them.

working at a petshop, i no how bad and imbarising it can be not being able to catch fish quickly. Most of the time it s quick and easy but were i work the bristle noses and the sucking catfish are the worst they can get u really
sja.

ohhh and one of my worst time catching fish was when a lady chose a particular zebra danio (there wood have bin 30 in their) in a 20gallon tank. She reckoned it was a particular blue  , i reckon they were all the same. And to top it off the danio was going in a pond, she wood never have seen it any way.

Don't ya wish you could just catch your own fish sometimes

Next time I need to move my false flying fox could one of you come help me? I had two and one had gotten very agressive so I was going to give it away. I chased that little bugger for a half hour! Before I finally caught him I had to tear up all the plants remove 30liters of water and throw the stupid Swordies out of the net ten times since they thought it was some kind of contest to see who could get in the net the most! The second fox was moved to the fry tank a couple weeks back and I did this at the same time as a 50% water change. It still took me ten minutes to get him and I had bought a second net to herd him with! I guess I just suck at scooping :*) .

If you have a big planted tank you can make fish traps. Of course, you have to monitor them constantly; theres no control over what gets in but once you get the fish you want in one its no problem getting it out.
