I Got An Ugly Plec

Yeh so i got a wierd pleco, it was in a bristle nosed tank in the fish shop but im starting to have my doubts, the other two i have are much darker and seem to be growing much quicker alsogh it has see through fins and the others are not see though, i thought i may have been finrot at first as some of the other fish have been suffering from fin rot,could it be an imposter?

Hi matchstickman47

BNs come in several color variations. I have albinos, brown and gold ones, and some that are more golden all over. My females seem to be much smaller and slower growing than the ones that turned out to be males, so that might not be a problem either.

If you could post a picture it would help a lot. There are some members here that are very good at identifying different species of plecos.

dont worry i worked it out its a little brown female the other two young uns have brisstles and growing much quick

as far as albinos go im going to purchase one tomorow it will be the pride of my mini fleetthanks miah inchworm
