Congrats on your new tank!!! What kind of a frog is it?

I'm curious what your oscar tank is being filtered by if you took the filter out. Did you take part of the filter, or the whole mechanical contraption itself? I'm sure things will work out either way

I think it's a chinese algea eater. He is long and skinny and stuck to the side of the tank.

As in chinese flying fox??!!

Hmmmm

You might want to watch out for that one. I avoid chinese 'algae eaters' like the plague to be honest. The vast majority of them get big and nasty.

Yeah I looked up chinese algea eaters on line and that is what he is. I am gonna keep my eye on him and if he shows any signs of aggression I am going to make him oscar food. I know that probably sounds cruel but hey it's nature

Yeah it does sound cruel, and I'm not sure that CAE would be an Oscar's natural food.

Maybe you should take him back if he;s aggressive, that way he has the chance to become someone's valued pet...
