film over its eye does anyone know what has caused this or what can be done to make it go back to normal the fish isnt acting sick or anything like that I know it is not a fungus it sorta looks like a cateract I guess that is how to spell it.

it could be a blind moor

i had a black moor years ago but its eyes fell out believe it or not

it was just swimming round with no eyes

(shouldnt laugh)

it lived quiet happily for years though

one of my grans goldfish got that white cloudy thing over its eye i dunno ow u get rid of it.... i think in the end we she ahd to kill it........ its kinda look like what some humans get in thrid world countrys.... i dunno what cause it.. sorry

its could be this. CataractsCataracts are fungal growths on the eyes. Treatment with any aquarium fungicide should work. Its probability increases with water rich in ammonia or nitrates.
Symptoms:White or gray material covering the eyes only.
Treatment:Special attention should be made to assure that ammonia and nitrite levels stay within accepted measures. Add anti fugal treatment. Raise the temperature.
