I gave my cories Pool Filter Sand today

I swithced from gravel to pool filter sand in my 30 gallon community tank today.

My peppered cories are so happy playinng in the sand.


Pool filter sand was easy to change out too. No cloudiness at all!!

i recently switched from gravel to sand and as soon as i added the cories to it they started digging away, it was funny to watch

Hiya, ive been thinkin of doing this for a while now, as i know corys adore sand, but where can you get it? and is there only one type (pool filter sand) that you can use safely for them ?

im hoping that i will manage to get hold of some bog wood aswell, but its so expensive!! lol the lengths i have to go to to make sure my babies are happy!

i've changed all my tanks to sand, i used childrens playsand, got it from the local builders suspplier. only £5.00 for 15k

washed it in a bucket for about five minutes before adding and no cloudyness.

Changing Cories over to sand is a wonderful thing to see. They're like different fish!
More outgoing, more active and less likely to hide.

Well done for making the change, once you've done sand you never go back!
