I live in Paraguay out in the country side and have had tropical fish for twenty plus years.
This afternoon I went out to look for a new river to catch small fish to feed me Dorado’s as they only eat live fish. I mainly catch Guppies, Buenos Aires Tetras and Red Eye Tetras as food. Today in a river that is up in the hills I found some orange Tetras. It color is the same as a gold fish. Never in all the years have I seen this fish. The river can not be contaminated as it is way out in the country side.
How do I go about finding out if it is a new species. I have some photos of them. If you can help me I will email you a photo of one.
Hope someone can help me.
