As I started to pack the betta, my feelings is so sad today. I have know this blue butterfly overhalfmoon male for a while now and he already gave me two batch of babies. I felt so guilty to sell him and the female afterall. I realized money is not the matter because I am loosing my beautiful betta that I used to watching him in the breeding tank takingcare for his babies for more than 10 days. I know I will never see them again and my tears fall. I realized he had brought me many happiness and sweet memories as a father takingcare of the babies.
Here is his picture again.

I put them up at Aquabid a while ago before the second batch. Maybe 3 and 1/2 weeks ago. I never sold my breeding pair before and this is the first pair. In the other hand, I have to follow the rules and the buyer already send her money to me.
Sometimes when you have a real deep connection and feelings to a pet of yours and they are really departure from you. At that moment, you come to a point that you realized they are not with you anymore and you feels sad and guilty. All you see the empty area where they belong and you feels something is missing.
All I hope with this pair will have a great new owner that will taking great care of them. That is all my wish.

He's lovely. I know what it's like to lose a fish, but I'm sure if someone is willing to buy them, they are willing to take the time to properly care for them.

yes its sad to see them go but as long as you know the people your sending them too will look after them then you dont mind so much, ......... :( :/ :p :D you have the babies

Screw the AB bidder, send 'em to me!

Seriously though, if you can keep in contact with the bidder, just ask for an occasional update. It's not like it'd hurt.

And you do have the fry, so chances are you'll end up with at least one baby like his daddy!

hey yeevia,
sorry to hear that he is leaving you, but he sure had left his legacy behind with you..1000 babies or so? i would hate to see any of my fishies go away! he is a beautiful fish, though....butterflies are my favorite!!!

Awww Yeevie I feel for you :-(

I haven't had to part with any bettas yet but mine are fast growing up and I'll be selling them soon. I know I was really sad when I sent my first lot of guppies to the shop and wondering if somebody was going to look after them.

Lets hope you get a nice male in his spawn that looks just like him and has his personality :)

I am back finally. :p
Both bettas arrived safe in Washington DC in good shape. The new owner taking good care of them very much. She plan to breed them in a month.
OK. I am ok and like this now---> :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Thanks guys for supporting me emotionally. LOL :p

Can't breeding now. I got too many babies to handling. I will start breeding again after march 19 because I be out of town for a week. My friend going to stay in my house to takecare of my feeding bettas. I got few pairs that I love to breed again.
Especially the fancy red gold halfmoon male with a yellow gold halfmoon female. I just have 3 babies that are gold and pink color. I think they are very pretty when they get big.
I want to breed another new red overhalfmoon rosetail male from Wasan with a red halfmoon female. He is real stunning. And the old daddy going to breed with her daughter tsunami. LOL  Should have doubletail tsunami again. :)
