I Dont No What Catfish Iv Got

Hi guys i brought a nice small catfish for my malawi cichlid tank but i want to no a bit more about it, its now growing quite a bit and now is nearly 4 inch long

all i no is that its a light brown colour with black spots all over ita body in different sizes,

it stays in the drain pipes i have in the tank and is quite an active catfish, its got the usual bristles by its mouth but thats as much as i no,

please help guys

Could be a syno. of some sort, pic would be good, try coax him out with some food.
Could you describe it more?
