I don't know what to do...

My poor little girl, it's like the whole back 1/2 of her body is dead, she is so beautiful and is really trying to fight. But it's just taking over, I don't know what to do. I don't like watching her suffer... Should I put her to sleep or something? This is killing me, she is so beautiful, and you can tell she just doesn't want to die.

when you say dead, do you mean zero movement, or some movement, but so innefective she can barely swim? Also, how long have you had her? Anything else obviously wrong with her?

Yes, Zero movement, like stiff as a board. I've had her since last night, she had a small patch of what looked like discolored scales, and this morning it had fungus and had taken over 1/2 her body. It's horrible.

I'm not sure about the paralisys, but the fungus sounds more like Columnaris, which is a bacterial infection. I've tried to treat this twice, with no luck, but here is a link for you. http/www.flippersandfins.net/flexibacter.htm

I've never used this, but I've heard of some people having luck with Maracyn and Maracyn 2, (i'm pretty sure both need to be used together).

If it is Columnaris, I'd recommend Tetracycline.

Yep it sounds like columnaris to me too. Does she look a bit like this?

She sounds like a tough little cookie though, so with the right treatment she may pull through...

Columnaris thrives in warmer water, so GRADUALLY drop the temp down. I say gradually because you don't want to stress her. And as Kiarra said, Tetracyline is good for treating Columnaris.

Many sympathies. Columnaris is a hard disease to treat, especially since it can come on so quickly and kill with so little warning.

Both of my girls all had paralysis in the late stages of columnaris. One of three survived. I used a combo of tetracycline and maracyn 2.

I wish you lots of luck and will keep my fingers crossed.
