hi i got a coconut and cut it in two made a arc for swiming into and made sure there is no stuff left on the inside so i soaked it in tapp water for a week could i have it with a betta

boil it in a pan for 30 mins, and sand of the hairs before hand, theyre good for bettas

so it wont hurt to leave them on or will they tear the bettas fins

The hairs actually make attaching things like java moss easier. They give something to attach to. Coconut shells that are properly cleaned are used quite often in aquariums.
