I Didn't Realise Bichirs Did This

I saw my armoured bichir kick up a lot of sand and then s/he just sat there for around 20mins

then s/he moved about a bit and reburied itself only deeper.

has now been in the same position for over 2hrs.
please, tell me it is nothing to worry about.

My palmas did it aswell in fine gravel.

The only ones I have that have done this were my delhezi and my endi it seems to be one of two things either a hunting strategy or simply hiding.My del quit doing this when I added my pollis to the tank for growout.My endy uses this as a hunting tactic sometimes-Anne
