Hey im thing of getting 1 or 2 golden eye cichlids for my 12 gal. i have 2 honey gouramis, a few cories and a upside down catfish or two...

do you think theyd go ok in my tank?

Im pretty sure golden eye cichlids are Rams, and a 12gal might be a bit to small for 2 of these but i think 1 might be ok, i would just keep an eye on it just it case it gets to agressive.

Nannocara s are not rams but they are a type of dwarf cichlid more closely related to apistogramma if you get a male and 2 females you will find that the male will forever chase the females so you will need to supply lots of hiding places for the females. And if they start breeding you'll have to consider removing the other fish . Ideally though i think they need a more room then a 12 gallon. When were happiests when they were in a 3ft long tank!! But they are lovely fish with lots of character!!

i no they are dwarf cichlids. .... my tank is 2foot long.. if that helps.. i am soon to densely plant it and put the bog wood in.

Would the females be ok on their own?

Yes but they aren't nearly as colorful as the males you could get 1 male if you're afraid of harassment

thanks... could i possible get apistos with them? or a ram or 2?
