Before anyone says anything, YES it is legal here, and you'd be surprised to know how many reptiles you buy in the hobby are wild-caught.

Now that that's out of the way... I went snake hunting/nature walking with a friend today :D. This is where we went

Spent 3-4 hours and found one snake... besides a cottonmouth, that is :p. It's a worm snake! I dunno if I will keep it long-term or release it later, but it'll be around for a little while, anyway.

These never bite humans, very docile.

snake is very beautiful, i not into the spider thigy though yuk :)

How beautiful the walk and the trees. On congrats on your beautiful finds :good:

They are very cool looking... but I dont suggest releasing the snake after you keep it captive for awhile.. either keep it, or let it go would be best for it.

That snake looks quite at home in your hand ;)

Some of the snakes I've had would firmly be anchored to my thumb and cursing me if I dared to disturb them

Whether or not it eats for me is going to be the deciding factor ;)

Probably preaching to the choir but some things I've found work, piercing the pinkie's brain to let some gunk out (it smells more), putting the pinkie in a plastic bag under the running hotwater tap until its warmed up to body temp, and using long tweezers or feeding tongs rustling the pinkie around as thought it was alive...

That's all well and good, but this guy's natural prey is 100% worms and other soft-bodied inverts ;). I do appreciate the advice though, it'll come in handy one of these days, no doubt. It's really just a matter of getting his environment right I think, he likes it very damp.

Worm snake VS worm, WHO WILL WIN?! (and which is which??? D: )

very pretty snake... eats only worms, eh? do tell us how he adapts to captivity

There are a handful of folks who keep these, but they don't really make good pets because they are going to be underground 99% of the time. You'll probably never see them again, lol.
