yea i know you want my stats but my dog ate most of the testing kit we had.

its either i have too much water flow/disruption

or i just need to DIY a box filter remove my carbon, put sponges in and apparently do everything the opposite of what im doing.

but in all seriousness, how much gph do i really need on a 75g tank, what type of sponges are best? like microfiber sponges or what?

im so mad i jumped into a 75g so quick :/

also, thoughts on crawdads and possible damage to cichlids? my eel is ruled out...and i cant imagine my 1 inch peacocks to be so mean

Adding filter floss to your existing filter will help polish the water.
Most crayfish, will attack fish, usually at night while they are sleeping. What type of peacocks do you have? Malawian or S/A peacock bass?

Off topic; but have you taken your dog to the vet? Some of the chemicals in test kits are quite hazardous :/

i have labs, acei, baby mixed africans, thats what they were labeled as sorry for the lack of description.

a dojo loach, green terror, texas green, 3 crawdads, 3 corydoras, other mixed african cichlids that are bigger, one i guess is a orange blotch, one has black stripes a blue head and a yellow top fin, another one is a sunset peacock with 1 eye that i fostered as it was a birth defect.

the only one that looks beat up on is my venustus, the giraffe peacock and i had a krib get eaten outside in. :[

this is all in a 75g

WAY overstocked a green terror full grown fits descently into a 75, so that alone.. your overstocked, may not able to get good clear water cause of that alone.. on my 75 community i run an emperor 400, aquaclear 110 and a small sponge filter. i run carbon and purigen in my emp 400 due to my amount of tannins from mopani. fx5 fluval is nice for the cic tank. if i had any "messy" fish in a 75, id do a ac 110 combo wih the fx5, that is my O

i actually forgot i had put accu clear in my tank :shout:

the cloudiness was from that, the water is actually fine now, im starting to think its just more of the age and position of my tank, being its on the floor atm and its idk how many years old.

after the accu cleared up the tank is looking pretty nice now, haha

and none of my fish are over 3 inches big right now, all being babies except the green terror. ive seen 45g tanks with way more fish than mine. theres tons of space in my tank

That doesn't make it right. A biologist specialising in zoology should know better...

Cheers
