So i set up a 60 litres or about 15 gallons tank around June last year and with the stocking i decided to add 2 kuhli loaches. However for the past 3 months there has been no sight of them. They couldn't of jumped out as there is a secure lid and there is no sign of there being any digging. My tank is decently planted so i don't want to dig through the substrate. From what i know they haven't been getting any food when i add it. What are the chances that they're still alive? Or did they die a long time ago and i just havent found a body yet.

What kind of substrate do you have?
Mine sometimes burrow into my sand substrate and hide...and are mostly nocturnal, when they DO come out...

Wait until nighttime, and feed some sinking food with the tank lights lowered, or off (if you can see into the tank with no lighting), sit patiently and still by the tank, and see if they come out.

Your Kuhlis are probably there hiding somewhere. I will go weeks without seeing any of the four I have in my 20 Gallon, but then at night I will spot them occasionally. Make sure you put some sinking food in after lights out to make sure they have something to eat. Otherwise, they should be fine. They are really resilient in my experience. When I started fishkeeping, I had no idea what I was doing with my 10 Gallon. I didn't understand cycling, I didn't even dechlorinate, etc. I bought a dozen fish and a Kuhli. All of the fish died over time from my ignorant mistakes, but the Kuhli is still alive and well today.
