I am very close to taking my rainbow shark back to the LFS. I woke up this morning and while he was still alive my silk pleco has no fins or tail any more. they have all been eaten away. I know it is the rainbow because my 6 pristella tetras are very dosile and the albino I have had a while and he used to sleep with my old pleco that just outgrew the tank, he also is very dosile. this baby 1 1/2 inch rainbow shark seems to be quite an @$$hole (pardon my french). he is so pretty though it pains me to take him back.

oh yeah back to the pleco. I have quarantined him but do not expect to find him alive when I get home. he could barely move as is.

Sorry to hear about your plec, sounds like the Shark is a nasty little dill hole  . Don't give up hope yet Tanked, when the Pictus cat ate half the fins and tail off of my Sharky I thought he was a gonner, but he bounced back well  and his parts all grew back with no problem :D

Good Luck with Silkie

Silkie is dead, Jane just called me to let me know. he just turned belly up in the QT tank and is stuck against the power filter inlet. I had her flush him :-(

I need a good algae eater that will be able to fend for themselves, or can swin faster that a rainbow shark. any ideas?

Sucking loach! My uncle has got a sucking loach and a black red tail shark. The shark is always going for him, but the loach can hold his own.

I left work early and picked up 2 farlowella catfish. I am hoping that there long slender bodies and lack of big fins that they will be left alone. if not. Guido goes back. i'm sick of losing fish to him. I also got 3 powder blue gourami's and they will not let Guido near them. hahaha. they are very pretty and look like baby blue oscars with feelers. lol :D

the plecos fins should grow back and the best think to do is get rid of that shark!!!!!!

About a month ago I was asking about plecos. Well my remaining one has gotten quite fat after the diet that i put it on, the weekly water changes are also helping ( although my black widows ate all my guppy fry..good thing in a way).

The wood escapade has been abandonded and a big chunk of mopane driftwood is on the way.

Regards

sorry to hear about your pleco tanked I dont have any trouble out of my rainbow is is the best fish in the tank as far as picking on the other fish the angel is the meanest one about that the only thing that is allowed in there with that fish is the ones that was in the tank when I first put her in it. She wont allow nothing else to be put in the tank at all.
