Hi all,
Recently bought a used 90g that's come with a hydromatic porquatic heater (300W) and an Ebo Jager TS250 (250 Watts).
The Ebo Jager had some red crud built up on it so I've got it soaking in a bucket of hot water. Hopefully that will brush off after some soaking. I'm not really worried about this heater as I have another one that came with my other used tank.
However I know nothing about the proquatic and am a little worried. It looks fine but I've heard horror stories of heaters exploding (marine stealth, I believe) and since then I'm terrified of all heaters lol.
SECONDLY... how can I test these heaters and make sure they're safe for my aquarium? Just plug 'em in and put them in a bucket for a little bit? What should I look for?
THIRDLY... do I need both to heat a 90g or will the 250 Ebo Jager be enough?
Thanks.![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
