Ok so I was given one of these a little while back and thought today I'd take it apart, see what's in there and give it a bit of a clean before using it. Only problem is I don't seem to be able to get into it. unlock the clips then open the filter by levering on the special slots using your fingers. Is there a knack to this that I just don't have? I really hope someone can help

ahh yes, its down to force! i unlock the tabs, grip the filter with my feet and pull, with force but control, on the handle. its a far struggle but it will come in the end. if you intend to strip the unit, pop me a pm. its not so hard but has some things you need to look out for.
