Hydor Prime 20 cannister query

I have a Hydor Prime 20 cannister filter which seems to be working fine but every now and again it makes a noise like gas escaping. Is this normal? I have only had the aquarium a short time and don't know whether this is to be expected.

I'm not familiar with that particular filter, but it's probably just trapped oxygen. It should eventually spit it all out. I would worry if you see any signs of leakage!

My canister filter made similar noises after the initial setup. I haven't heard them in a while.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to be cleaning the filter tomorrow anyway so hopefully anything trapped will be released then.
