Hi there , very soon I wiil be setting up a tank for small cichlids :hyper: , I have seen these powerheads used in various tanks and on the bios threads on this forum, dummy question  , please help , are these designed to stop dead areas in the tank or are they there for fish that like a little current, , ,
any correspondence greatly appreciated...... :good: :good:

I have a pair of them and I like them :good:

As they are the smallest in the range they produce a small thrust of water so I would not recommend them if you need a heavy flow but they will definitely get a dead spot in your tank moving My Clown loaches and Panda Cory like to play in the jet stream :good:

Regards onebto

i have a hydor nano and it works really well for getting rid of dead spots and helps the filter to catch all the pleco poop
