Hi All,

Well this is my first circulaiton pump, I installed it today, but unfortunatel, though I've tried repositioning it, and adjusting the angle, it appears to exhibet and annoying audible 'hum' almost like there were air trapped inside?

Anyone else use these? or have similar problems?

I was told they were pretty silent!

Cheers.

I do indeed use one of these....and was very annoyed with it this morning because I thought it had died after only a couple of weeks of use :grr: but having taken it apart as per the instruction booklet and reassembled it, it's now working perfectly again. No idea why.

To be honest, mine is not silent - definitely a slight hum. I did find it noisier when I first used it, but switching it on and off a few times seemed to help. It also seems to have become quieter the longer I've had it, so maybe they need to run in for a while? If it's really noisy it might be worth taking it apart and making sure the impeller is properly seated in the shaft. You're going to need to take it apart for cleaning sooner or later, so you might as well get acquainted with it!

Hope that's of some use :)

Thanks! Thats great advice :) yes the hum is becoming more tolerable ;p

How often roughly do you clean yours?

Cheers!

I also had this problem wtih these, on the older version they are missing a little tiny rubber washer at the base of the impeller. The way i got around this was...to cut a couple of mil off some air tubing and use that as my washer. The koralia then became silent.
