Hi Folks,
I guess this is a dumb question! Would fitting a Hydor external heater into the return line of an external filter reduce the flow rate? If so, by approx. what percentage? Also, could this affect the filter's guarantee?
Any comments much appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Hi, no and no are the answers to your two questions ;) The heater does not reduce the hose size, so the pressure of passing through the heater is no greater than through the pipe, hence no reduction in flow due to pressure. It would be impossible for a manufactuer to tell if a Hydor was running with their filter if you sent it back, so that cannot void the warrenty :good:
